The book we are using for this class is the National Audobon Society Guide to Nature Photography the Digital Edition. I really enjoyed reading the first few chapters or topics in this book. It was really easy to read and understand and it covered everything I needed to know as a beginning photographer. I think it is going to be a really good book to use for this class because it is in everyday language and i felt like I actually learned something from the reading.

Lisa Kristine
When I was on a family vacation in California two summers ago, I stumbled into this photo gallery of Lisa Kristine and was immediately fascinated with her work. It started when she spent 5 years in Asia studying world religions and philosophy. Since then she has been to 60 countries spanning over 6 continents. Her photos really take you to a place far from here. They make you step back and think about something other than the world that we are immersed in. On her website her bibliography reads, "As haunting as the images are thought provoking, the artist wishes to open a dialogue about the diversity, beauty and hardship of our interlocking world" and I feel her images do just that.
